4 Google Analytic terms you should know.

The percentage of time a user “bounces” or leaves a page without taking a measurable action on the page. A measurable action could be time on page, clicking a button, visiting more than one page, etc.

Why does it matter?

If your business is experiencing a high bounce rate, that could mean that your content is lacking or that you are targeting the wrong type of users with your ads. An example would be a Facebook ad targeting a broad range of users. Which could lead to a lot of website traffic, but could also translate to a high bounce rate.

2. Source

3. Conversion

What does it mean?

Conversions measure when the desired action is taken on a page. For instance, if you have a “call conversion” on your page, a conversion; would be recorded each time a user clicks your call button.

Why does it matter?

Businesses have goals, and it is important to track those goals. Tracking conversions allows you to understand how effective your site is in driving the results and actions you are hoping for. If you see your conversions dropping, it is time to make changes.

What does it mean?
